The best way to stay secure online is to have strong, unique passwords for every account, but it’s nearly impossible to remember lots of passwords. While saving passwords in your browser solves for that convenience, it’s a band-aid over a much larger problem.

Unfortunately, the saved passwords in your browser often aren’t secure. And many browsers allow anyone with physical or remote access to your computer to view all saved passwords. Those that do require authentication to see your saved passwords have easy workarounds.

Here’s how to view and delete saved passwords from chrome web browser.

How to view and delete saved passwords in Chrome

1) Open Chrome.

2) On the right side of the toolbar, click the circular Profile, then click Passwords.

3) From there, you can view, delete, or export your saved passwords.
    • View saved passwords: Click the eye icon to the right of each password to see it. You’ll be prompted to type your computer password in to see it in plain text.
    • Delete saved passwords: Click the three vertical dots to the right of each password, then click Remove.
    • Export saved passwords: To the right of “Saved Passwords,” click the three vertical dots, and click Export passwords.

To delete all saved passwords at once:

1) Open Chrome.

2) On the right side of the toolbar, open the menu by clicking the three vertical dots , then click More      Tools, then click Clear Browsing Data.

3) In the “Clear browsing data” window, click the Advanced tab, uncheck everything except for    
    Passwords and other sign-in data, then click Clear Data.
