How can you make Google default search engine in Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox

Changing the default search engine is simple and very easy. Here's how to do it in Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox.


Make Default Search Engine "Google" in Chrome

Open the Chrome browser.

Click the three solid dots(below pic.) in the top right corner of the browser window, under the window’s X button. 


Select "Settings"

Under the Search engine section, click the down arrow and go to Search engine used in the address bar.

Select your default search engine from the list that includes Google, Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and Ecosia.

Here’s how to Make your default search engine Google in Firefox:

Open the Firefox browser.

Click the three solid lines in the top right corner of the browser window, under the window’s X button.

Select Options from the dropdown menu.



Clicking Options will open a new window.

On the left-side navigation, click on Search with the magnifying glass icon and open the search options.

Scroll down to the Default Search Engine section and click the drop-down menu where it instructs the user to Choose the default search engine to use in the address bar and search bar.

This will populate the available options and you can choose Google to make Google default search engine.


Make Default Search Engine "Google" in Microsoft Internet Explorer

Here’s how to change your default search engine in Internet Explorer:

Open the IE browser.

Click on the gearbox icon in the top right corner of the browser window.

Select Internet options.


After clicking Internet options a new window will open.


In Home page section type the search engine URL as seen in above pic. and click on Apply and then Ok, now your default search engine Google has been applied.
